Deep Tissue Massage:
A massage that uses slow, deep, and intense massage strokes that reaches underlying trigger points removing muscle tension, stress, and fatigue. These techniques stroke across the grain of the muscle to heal physical injuries, chronic tension and emotional stresses within the body. Deep tissue applies greater pressure than relaxation or Swedish massage.
Relaxation Massage:
It means exactly what it says "Relaxation". This massage technique is not designed for therapeutic effects or for dealing with chronic pain or discomfort. Most of the techniques are long effleurage flowing strokes.
Swedish Massage:
If you are going to have a massage for the first time and you are not sure what kind you would like this. It is a great massage to start with. Swedish massage techniques include: long strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, percussion, vibration, effleurage, and relaxation.
Prenatal and Postnatal massage:
For the Prenatal massage I use a pregnancy pillow which allows you to lay face down. This relieves stress from the lower back. If for any reason this position is not comfortable, then the massage can be done side line with the support of pillows. This massage is geared toward the mothers changing body which is safe for mom and baby.
Postnatal massage maybe done side lying or with pregnancy pillows if there had been any abnormal surgery or distress. Other wise this massage performed like other massages.

This is also a great specialty massage to have during the cold winter months to sooth and warm your muscles.

Ashiatsu Massage:
If you want the deepest tissue massage Ashiatsu is for you. The therapist walks on the client’s back, using bars and other props for support to vary pressure and weight. This modality has its roots in Asia, but today, several different versions of Ashiatsu massage are practiced around the world. Ashiatsu is highly effective for large athletes, individuals with thick musculature, and people who enjoy deep tissue massage.
